W - Cosa succede quando non succede niente

Tentare di annotare “ciò di cui normalmente non si prende nota, ciò che non si osserva, ciò che non ha importanza : ciò che succede quando non succede niente, se non il tempo, le persone, le macchine e le nuvole.”
E’ quello che si era prefissato di fare Georges Perec il 18 ottobre 1974, seduto a un tavolino di place Saint-Suplice, a Parigi: cogliere e fermare ciò che cade sotto la soglia dell’attenzione attraverso la scrittura.
Abbiamo ricreato questo tentativo ancorandoci ai cinque luoghi del territorio urbano Bolognese segnalati dalle W (un progetto artistico di Kinkaleri e Xing), declinandolo attraverso l’ascolto e la voce, e restituendo una memoria sonora fissata in una registrazione.

W - What happens when nothing happens

Attempting to write down "what we normally don't take note of, what we don't observe, what doesn't matter: what happens when nothing happens, if not the weather, the people, the cars and the clouds."
This is what Georges Perec set out to do on October 18, 1974, sitting at a table in place Saint-Suplice, in Paris: to grasp and stop what falls below the threshold of attention through writing.
We recreated this attempt by anchoring ourselves to the five sites in Bologna urban fabric indicated by the W signs (an art project by by Kinkaleri and Xing), declining it through listening and voice, and returning a sound memory fixed in a recording.
